We are a community of Christian people, which was established in 1970, which is committed to worshipping and knowing God, being open to the leading of the Holy Spirit and sharing in one another’s joys and sufferings.
Our community is made up of mutually accepting people where friendship, care, concern and healing in the love and grace of God are central to our lives.
Please join us at one of our regular worship services, or contact us for details of one of our other activities, groups, or services.
We can be contacted via our Church office on (02) 6287 1981 or by e-mail on firstname.lastname@example.org
Looking back, Weston Creek Uniting Church started out in 1970, in the early years we had no church building and at various times used the school buildings in Weston and Rivett. We originally built the facility at 16 Parkinson Street, Weston as a community facility, and although we now use it as our church building, it still has strong links with community organisations that use it for a wide variety of activities every day of the week.
Mission and vision
Our mission is ‘Making Christ and His love known in our community’.
Our vision is to grow and diversify our church to cater for the growing needs of our community and the new Molonglo development on our northern border.
Everyone one at Weston Creek UC is a valued member of our church and are encouraged to contribute to the areas of our church life and mission that reflect their interests and talents.
Our minister is Gary Holdsworth, who along with our council, Chair: Andrew Lund, Deputy Chair: Ben Schutte, Secretary: Elizabeth Cowan, Treasurer: Simon Hearder, Irene Roberts, Pam Taylor and Robin Fitzsimmons provide leadership for our congregation, while assisting our 8 Ministry Task Groups to facilitate the day to day running of the church.
Our Office is staffed Tuesday to Friday between 9 am and 12 noon, by a dedicated group of volunteers. Appointments can be made to meet with the minister from Tuesday to Friday, by calling the office on (02) 6287 1981.
